Food and more
Elizabeth got her new high chair this week. She's quite happy to sit in it, and it makes feeding her a lot easier. She's still eating well, although she's gone off home made food. She's fine with the fruit, but doesn't like veg. So she's now getting baby porridge for breakfast, half a savoury jar for lunch, the other half of it for tea with fruit or yoghurt/fromage frais for pudding. She also likes rice cakes, and I've tried her with a few other finger foods like banana and toast.
She's starting to get to sleep a bit better. Since about 4 months she's needed some help to get to sleep. Most of the time we've had to pin her down in her cot (sounds awful, but we're really gentle) because her arms flap about and keep her awake. But sometimes we still have to rock her to sleep. Anyway, this week she's started to put herself to sleep. It takes a while, but I'd rather that she learns to do it herself than have to rely on us to do it all the time. She's still waking up between 2am and 3am though out of habit, not for food. So she comes into bed with us, because we're too tired to spend half an hour getting her back to sleep. Probably a bad habit to get into, but we all sleep better that way. And it's nice to have her cuddle up to us at night.
