Today's the day ......................... to be late

It's been a funny sort of day today. Right from the start things were never quite under control. It was the sort of day when something unexpected seemed to happen quite a lot - and everything went a bit pear-shaped, more than once.

I was late home from work, late making the tea - and even later eating it. Then Will phoned to say that his train had been delayed and he would miss his connection to Kendal at Oxenholme. Could I go and pick him up? So this is the (very) late arriving Virgin Pendolino at Oxenholme Station on its way eventually to Crewe.

Things can only improve tomorrow .......................?
