Marrows

I probably should have put something else in this pic to give you an idea of scale... they are rather large to say the least.

Our neighbour's son has had a very successful crop and our neighbour was delighted that we wanted to take these. She would have been relieved to get rid of one, never mind 4, as she was starting to drown under the marrow mountain.

I think I shall turn some into a big pot of soup, maybe with some cannellini beans and a dod of pesto to serve. Hmmm, might have to make some bread to go with it.

The rest will be heading for the chutney pot.
