Lahmajun

Lahmajun is a middle eastern dish. It's basically a bread that has meat inside and is then folded over. Then it's cooked in a stone oven rather like a pizza. You then squeeze lemon over it and eat!!

It is one of Shaki's favourite snacks. We found a place just down the road from us that makes it the Armenien way. This is the guy making the fresh dough for the 5 (yes 5) that shaki ordered.

On a non food note, looks like the holidays have definitely ended. My phone is ringing overtime and I'm not sure if that's good or bad lol ... I have been asked to take part in Rock for Cancer Research. This is being organised by our good friend Nikki Lambourn (Rhianna's vocal coach) from band Never the Bride, Chesney Hawkes and Julia Bradbury (BBC's countryfile) with guests Lynda La Plante who I am a huge fan of.

There will be an auction on the night with a pair of shoes, signed by Dame Shirley Bassey ( who Nikki wrote and produced her album "get the party started" after Dame Shirley recorded one of Nikki's songs, The Living Tree).

Also I am working on my new business project so I can safely say I'm back in the thick of it all ...

... But tomorrow I'm off with Shaki to go and see Sonbon, who is seriously ill. She hasn't been having visitors until now, so we shall take some pom poms and go shimmy on down to see her ;-) xx
