Sonbon

Went to visit Sonbon this evening. Sonbon is a close friend of ours who has terminal cancer and has only a few months left. Son was diagnosed with a brain tumour 6 years ago and given 1 year, she has managed to get this far but unfortunately there is now nothing more that can be done.

She is the most outrageous, funny and has the most amazing voice you will ever hear. She is a huge Adele fan and Shaki and I bought her tickets way back in March for Sept 17th not knowing if she would be here to fulfill her dream of seeing her.

Obviously old father time hasn't reckoned on Sonbons sheer will. She has up days and down days and has just recently had a big setback. Her meds cause her to have involuntary spasms and the brain tumour causes epileptic fits, sometimes as many as 10 a day. But despite all this, she soldiers on and tries not to let it rule her life.

So all being well, she will get her wish and in a couple of weeks go and see Adele at Hammersith Appollo.

She is the bravest person I know ;-) xx
