Night biking

Good day today, even though we're only getting out of the house to go to the shop and then pick daddy up.

And then pick a carpet up!! Someone at Steve's work is getting a new carpet so we're having their old one until we finally get around to decorating properly downstairs.

PS I backblipped yesterday this morning finally, after giving up last night due to tiredness and being kicked off blip lol!!!

The builders are now gone, we have flooring (that doesn't bounce - hip hip hurrah!) throughout the ground floor, the wall between the front two rooms is gone and a new wall has been put up instead of bannisters up the stairwell. Need to do some serious sanding of the floorboards (they were reclaimed from the front room and the dining room) before we can even think about sorting out the furniture etc, but it's getting there.

Ben's had a good day today. No sign of any concussion from yesterday thank goodness. As I type this little bit he's having a nap - in pants. I'm not sure this is a good idea. I also didn't get chance to have our usual little chat before he fell asleep to remind him he couldn't wee in his pants when he woke up. We'll see what happens, hey. If I'd managed to take his pants off I could boast about him being "dry" at naptime but we shall see what confusion the pants cause before I boast!! I think it's going to be a while before I dare letting him go nappy-free at night though. Even though we have been through numerous occasions of him throwing up in our bed, and explosive baby nappies in our bed, and the odd sneaky wee that snuck out when changing a nappy when he was much younger, the thought of him wetting OUR bed just makes me squirm a little. He still climbs into bed with us in the night which I really don't mind that much, he just wants a cuddle and then goes back to sleep - but he never has a dry nappy by the time I manage to get it off him in the morning. Perhaps I shall see how soon after he wakes up I can get it off him, and see how dry it is then, see if it's after he's woken up that he needs to go to the toilet.
Edit: he woke up dry, and went and did his wee in the potty after his nap!! Yay :)

I think yesterday was the first time in a couple of months I've actually looked at the Bump properly. It's grown quite a lot (obviously, duh) in two months. A lot of people can't believe I'm 6 months pregnant because it's such a small neat bump but I can assure you we are that far gone, and there is a very wriggly squirmy kicky baby in there! I've got a whole load of studio stuff leant to me by my parents but have nowhere to set it up at the moment - hopefully once the builders have finished today and we start cleaning and sorting over the next week I can get my upstairs bedroom back and perhaps set up a studio style bump shot again. I don't have nearly enough pictures of me with bump this time round.

Ah well. Time to sort out a nappy and hope Ben wakes up soon so we can dash round the shop before picking Steve and the carpet up! Will have to sort out a photograph to go with this writeup when we get home again :)

Final edit: Didn't get to the shops, but did go for a fish and chip supper parked by the beach after dropping off the carpet at home :) Ben got to ride his bike up and down the parade in the dark chased by his daddy, and he only fell off once - he'll learn to watch where he's going one of these days!
