Day Eight: Bears, Old Faithful, and Canyon
Second day in Yellowstone was an eventful one! We woke up early to freezing temperatures in our campsite with the intention of looking for wildlife. Maybe crazy, but it was worth it! We got to Hayden Valley around 7AM to see multiple grizzlies chowing down on a bison carcass. There was a mother and three of her cubs. Then, another adult showed up trying to grab a piece of the carcass, and there was a growling, wrestling, maul-fest. It was very impressive, and everyone was silenced by the incredible power of nature i.e. a grizzly roar!
The rest of the day was spent seeing the rest of the park. We caught Old Faithful blowing off some steam and hiked a bit around the canyon area. Very pretty!
