After work...

is not Guinness time, despite this reproduction of the iconic advertisement in my calendar suggesting otherwise. It's a funny reminder of the Old World and the pub culture. I had a strange craving the other day for Anstruther fish 'n' chips.

It's a sunny Friday of a long weekend (Monday is Labour Day), so most most people from the office have evacuated the city to go to 'cabins' in the Gulf Islands or the Interior of BC.
