End of the day reflections
This morning I accompanied S to the kitchen makers to view the new kitchen cabinetry, and make the final requests before the last bits of work, and painting. Putting it into the beach house is just 10 days away. Very exciting.
Back to the apartment and a visit from daughter and youngest grandboy, who gave his Granny a cuddle and then asked for the iPad to play some games. Lovely visit, and then off out to West Auckland to lunch with friends. A long visit and great conversation as we attempted to solve the world's problems.
Back into the city again, and I went for a much delayed run. Almost back to the apartment, and the extensive cloud cover broke up somewhat out to the west allowing the (nearly) setting sun to burst through. I took a few pictures, and with the advice of S, chose this as the best.
There is only reflected sky and sun in the upper row of windows. Below that row the reflections are less clear, and more attenuated by the stacks of car parts inside the building, especially at the upper end. We both find the rectangular structure appealing in this light.
