Place of rest

Strange one this, firstly i will explain how i came to be here....

My wife is at work today, with the car, so i thought i would takes abs on an adventure. first we took the train from chester-le-street to newcastle. we then hopped on the metro and went to tynemouth.

We then went to northumberland park to play on the playground and find a couple of geocaches.

one of them was situated in here. at first i wasn't going to look for it as i thought it was bad taste in a graveyard. then i started reading the stones. most occupiers of the graves died between 7-12 years old. first thought: this was a child's graveyard, left untended in the corner of the park, definitely not looking for a plastic box in here!!!

then i read the names: all first names, no surnames, and they were bizarre.... two noted occupants are benji and lassie. i then convinced myself that this was a pet cemetery, and that it was ok to find the cache!!

after a long journey home, via the same public transport routes, and a bus, i googled it to no avail. i am none the wiser, if anyone can shed some light on this bizarre place, please do! it has me utterly confused!!
