I can't remember the last time I was able to spend a whole day in the garden pottering. The odd hours here and there, but a whole day - it has been quite some time. I have cut the herbs for drying, cordoned the apple tree, sorted out the tomato plants, pulled the leek seed head, weeded, tidied and lastly burnt stuff.

Such a satisfying day - I smell now of earth and charred wood. Such a gorgeous combination that I am sure YSL or Gaultier will be rushing to bottle it.

An who would believe that from these comes this. I will be making them into chilli jam soon. Delicious!
