More Orca Whales!

A whale of a summer indeed! :-) We packed up to return to Seattle (including getting our tin boat to the boathouse at high tide, with the neighbor's help) and on the small ferry's approach to the ferry terminal in Vancouver BC, there were more Killer Whales! I'm not sure this isn't the same Orca I photographed 9 days ago when we saw about 30 (it has the same shape fin, and I can't quite tell about the white dots....) and with Mount Baker in it's best form (in my other Orca picture Mt Baker was peeking thru the clouds). I have to confess this whale didn't actually surface smack in front of the mountain, but it was close by , so I moved it -just like a Pacific NW postcard, right?? :-)
H is going through a month's worth of mail, but my unwinding is with the pictures!
Tomorrow we will be happy to see the family for dinner at a restaurant -it's my birthday!
