The City of Sails

Up and at em early this morning. JL came and picked me up. Then off to get Miss T.

We caught a flight up to Auckland. Jetstar were on time and the flight was quick and painless.

Once in AKL, we caught up with UW and DW. We went down to the Viaduct to suss out all the stuff they have done in preparation or the Rugby World Cup. It's looking good down there, despite the inclement weather.

We also took a stroll up Mt Eden. This is the view from the top. I liked how the Sky Tower peeps out from over the volcanic crater.

We ate, we talked, we walked, we looked and then ....

We went to see the Cirque du Soleil. It was awesome! This is the 3rd of 4th time I have seen one of their shows. This was not my favourite, but was certainly a very slick, beautiful and really wonderful display.

JL and Miss T enjoyed it too; as did UW and DW. Great company too. :)

Then back to Mangawhai for tea and a late to bed night.
