Inside looking out

Next year Coventry Cathedral will be 50 years old. We visited on our return journey today as Chris has never been. I remember going at least twice as a child with family and school as it was so ultra modern.

It still has great impact and this shows some of the etched figures on the huge front doors.

I like it too as you can see the outline of the old Cathedral shell through the doors.

I also took it from the other side showing the reflection of the ruined building (it was bombed during air raids in the second world war), but preferred the light in this as the etched figures were clearer.
