Day 1 of a very alternative wekend.
Been at the Kustom Kulture blastoff all weekend. Its basically an alternitive art convention, Tattoo's, Graffiti, Airbrushing, Car/bike graphics there's live music and burlesque dancers, Rockabillys, Goths, Freaks and Uniques...my sort of thing.
This interesting young lady was one of the Tattoo artists and a very fucking good one. She was tattooing purely cupcakes...all kinds of shapes designs and colours but all in the theme of cupcakes. What makes her so great and one of the reasons i decided to feature her for Saturday is that every penny she made was for Help for Heroes a charity very close to my heart. The other reason i decided to use this picture was because i liked it. I think i did quite a good job (compared to the other shit ones i took!)
I actually went to takes some photo's of my friend Nick Sylvester who usually tattoo's out of Voodoo's in Boston plug plug. But the area he was working in was really cramped and the light was shocking. And the worst thing, on the stand directly opposite was Neil Daleywater former Editor of Skin Deep magazine and now Editor and Photographer for his own publication Tattoo Revolution Magazine. He had Lighting Cameras tripods laptops flashguns i had a borrowed tripod and a secondhand camera. I felt like a sword fighter at a gun fight.
Sundays blip is gonna be one you don't wanna miss, another one from the Kustom Kulture weekend.
