No time to waste?

Incoming!

It's wild out there.... Shot this out of the back window the car at Kingoodie - two car window shots in two days! Got a spattered lens for my trouble. The latest shower being blown in at goodness knows how many miles an hour.... Incidentally, this is not in sepia or any other form of mono! White balance settings make it a bit redder than it really was, just because I liked it.

Thankfully I got a run in this morning before it got too wild. Chuffed with myself - first proper outdoor run for ages, managed about 5.5 miles - took about 45 minutes, but didn't feel too tired at the end apart from one sore ankle! (tomorrow may be a bit different...) A friend from church has just entered for the 'Templeton Ten' on 6 November, a well-known and scenic road race on the edge of Dundee - I 'm not quite sure I'm there yet.... It's been years since I last raced, not since I was a teenager! I'm not the best at getting into a regular training routine, so it's never easy to build up distance. Maybe a race would give me the motivation, but I think I'd rather start with a 10k! I'm probably in a better place than I've ever been to do it however - in the past I've always got injuries after a few weeks of being back running, and I think one problem was not having enough weight or muscle mass to keep it up - my body just started to break down. But I've put on a stone over the last year, hit 10.5 for the first time ever, so am no longer underweight - and though I'm not a member anymore I've been going to the gym quite a bit over the last year so have good muscle strength.

I'm running out of excuses for not entering a race sometime relatively soon!
