Lapwing
Looking a bit different to this one - they're pretty much fully in autumn plumage now, shorter crests and buff edges to the feathers on their backs. The fact that the sun is out helps I think, glorious day here if still an autumnal feel to the air.
I will need to be careful - this is back at Kingoodie, same as Tuesday and many other days recently. It's a beautiful place, so peaceful with amazing views, and I do love lapwings, but I don't want to exhaust this source of blips! Today I had 4 shots I could have blipped, I was delighted with them all - the birds stayed on the edge of the water quite happily as long as I didn't move too suddenly.
Today also featured a taxi run to Perth (this butterbean better be a good child because it's causing enough trouble now!) and an embarrasing trip to the bank - I thought they'd messed up - but it was just me being very thick. That's what I get for checking the account before I'm awake....
