arrived at my daughter's at about 11 last night. not too tired today though.

Em and Martyn left for work, and not long after Flick came and collected me from the nearby car park, which was easier to stop in than outside the house.

we had a grand day, the highlight of which was meeting Henry and Archie and Abigail! fantastic!! we all had lunch at Flick's then the two of us trundled off to the Derngate, where Flick showed me round a Rennie Mackintosh house. What an amazing place - a small terraced house, where Macintosh had (without even seeing it) opened it right up and made it feel at least twice the size it was - clever man!

the client had one or two good design ideas himself and these were also incorporated into the place. next door has recently been purchased, to house a small gallery, an education space, some artifacts and a tea room, together with a lift. wow! what a lift - just a platform and shaft, with some large green and red buttons to push and keep pushing until you got to your chosen floor. amazing!!

then tea and cake in the tea room - where we discussed stuff - and plenty of it! it's an extremely small world! went to collect Em from work, and Flick dropped the two of us back at Em's house. Thanks for a lovely day Flick.
