My parents feed lots of birds in their garden and, now they've turfed out my sister's cats, have a huge population to support.

This is, if I've followed the lineage correctly, the wife of the son of the original 'Bobby Blackbird' who was christened as such when my daughter was little. I don't know whether the lifespan of blackbirds bears that out, but Mam seems to know them all personally.
