Aonach Mor gondola

Scotland holiday- day 7

Today's weather was pretty pants but we were still out all day. Walked up and down the Caledonian Canal, well from the loch to Neptune's staircase and back. It's an impressive bit of canal with 8 locks going up in a staircase plus a road and rail bridge which swing round. Thankfully the rain eased off while we were at the locks so we could watch a sailing boat go through some of them plus the bridges.

In the afternoon we went up the gondola on Aonach Mor. It was quite windy so blew around a bit but the boys loved it. We saw a couple of mountainbikers fly down the crazy routes but that was about it. The view from the top was of cloud mostly. We were going to go for a walk but it was pretty cold and wet and quite windy so we didn't bother.
