Inskip capers

2 of our 5 a day.

Special day today in our calendar and it's been a busy one.

Good walk with all the dogs on the common in the very autumnal conditions.
Surveyed the damage in the garden after the gales and rain. The sunflowers have taken a right battering, the larkspur are well knackered and the dahlias are a bit windswept.
The veg patch is still healthy tho'. We've already used some of onions for chutney but there's plenty left. Likewise the leeks. It's a bit early to dig leeks but we've loads so we'll be having these for tomorrows tea.
Had a very bracing walk up Nicky Nook with our Mr Darcy. He had a whale of a time in the resevoir and the swollen stream.
Drove through the Trough of Bowland, stopping at the tea rooms in Dunsop Bridge for a Pot for two and a Ploughmans.
Home, shower, dogs fed and watered then we went to Bolton to the cinema to see 'The Guard'. 6/10 from me, 8/10 from DB.
Chinese takeaway on the way home.
Phew!!
