Simbas

Pontefract town centre, taken as I was walking home from the bus station. I have spent many a night in the Red Lion. The night club inside was called Simbas and was the night club of choice if you were into indie music. It still played some rubbish though. Yes we had a choice of night club back then and Simbas did cater more for the student types. I remember getting the obligatory stamp on the wrist and nipping out for a Patty Butty with my friend Gav. A patty by the way is sometimes referred to as a Yorkshire fishcake. I used to make them when I worked in the fish and chip shop!
