Pears are definitely in the forefront at the moment. I spent the morning making a batch of pear chutney and Mike's been out raking up the fallen pears that are scattered on the ground.
This young blackbird was having a good feast from a pear in the border. He is one of a brood that were virtually brought up on cat food and now they are feasting on the pear crop!
Rain on and off today, plenty to do indoors but I have missed my afternoon walk. I might make it an evening stroll instead as I have a night off rehearsal.
