How do these delicately spun thin strands hold so much water without breaking? They are such incredible things. We have a spiders web right outside our lounge window and we are able to enjoy the full repetoire of our spider's life. From mending, to watching, to tying up and saving for later, right down to devouring. It's not for the faint hearted. He is a big brute.

I have to say that I am encouraged by my trials with manual, I can feel the control and the opportunity in the shots, even though they are not quite there yet. I did struggle a bit today as my eyes were failing me with the manual focus shot after shot after shot.
