Garden glory

Several photo sites have made suggestions lately about using just one length lens as an exercise for a week to really explore what it can do. My "nifty fifty" is the only fixed lens I have so it is going to be the one for a week. Got my haircut by a woman who lives in the neighborhood and works out of her home - she has the most amazing garden so couldn't resist a few shots-- can't remember the name of this flower but it usually has green leaves,(and maybe pink flowers?) not black. Just liked the color palette here.
