Hold Still!

In typical self-punishing British style, we filled up on starchy brunch and coffee and took ourselves off out for a post-birthday hangover stomp in a small local woods, in the mud and rain today. The dog got very wet and smelly.

It's a really pretty walk but also quite a steep climb so I used the excuse of stopping to take photos in order to rest regularly.

Please excuse the slightly out-of-focus look - for some reason I seem to be a little shaky today... ;) Our youngest child bounded around and climbed trees, even though she has a cold, and put us to shame. She is a small blur, whizzing away - wearing a pink raincoat - in the photo.
