Merhaba Ankara
After the most annoying and unpleasant flight in my entire life (don't EVER fly with Air Germania!) I had the most enjoyable first night out in Ankara. First my hoststudent Kemal and another ERASMUS-student from France called Hassan picked me up from the airport in order to bring my to my couchsurfing-friend Elcin's place. After throwing my bags in the corner and some water in my face we went straight out to a really cool rock-music place for dinner and drinks and then went out for some life-music to a club called "Manhattan".
Also I learned a new Turkish tradition: If you want to prevent a severe hangover you need to go out and have soup at about 4 o'clock in the morning and you'll be fine. What I also liked about that is that they put tons of tomatoes and different types of salad letters on your table to eat, too (yes, ON the table, they just throw it right into the middle).
