Devrim...
...is not only the name of our stadium (yes, my university has an own stadium), but also means "revolution". I have a feeling i got into the right place :-)
Today I checked out a few flats and met some more really nice people. Seriously, sometimes I am tempted to think that you simply cannot beat Turkish hospitality. It looks as if I'll have my own place within the next 2 days, tomorrow I'll check out some more rooms.
Also one of the guys who I visited in order to look at the free room, Murat, took me for a nice long METU-campus-tour. I am impressed by how huge it is: about 20.000 students, all kinds of sport facilities, entertainment facilities, dormitories, shopping malls...you name it). Also there is a large forest with 2 lakes.
What I found interesting is that you need to show your ID-card in order to enter the campus (they won't let anyone but students and uni-personell in) and that it is the most common thing to hitchhike to university if you live around that area.
Sooooo many new impressions.....I love it :-)
