geckos and spiders

Slept for almost 12 hours last night, apart from a moment of total clarity at around 4am this morning.

Back to reality today and went to the school fete with the girls.

Had to kill a spider this morning and fair play to those of you out that that puts a glass over them and puts them out the back door, but this thing was so big that I suspect that I didnt have a jug big enough so it had to die.

This this was seriously big and it took three hefty cracks with my converses to kill the beast. In fairness I actually missed on the first strike as he was a fast little blighter, second crack made his legs buckle but he still hobbled along. Third blow and he went crunch.

I hope that he didnt smuggle his passage back from Oz in my suitcase, in which event what else may be lurking.

Todays picture are of the two geckos that dad got me as a surprise for taking him on holiday and putting up with his Mick Dundee syndrom. MDS for short, I am going to start a charity for MDS soon, so watch out for the just giving emails in the near future.

Anyways, they are cool and are now 0n my mantlepiece.
