Wylie House Grape Arbor

I walked up to Third Street Park here in Bloomington to attend a Simple Living fair where a friend of mine had a booth for her business called 'Discardia' which specializes in upcycling things from discarded or recycled materials.

On the way home I stopped and walked around the grounds of the Wylie House Museum. The Wylie House was built in 1835 and was the home of Andrew Wylie, Indiana University's first president. Today the house is owned and operated by Indiana University as an historic house museum where you can see how people lived prior to 1860. Mark and I keep meaning to go on the tour, but we have not done so yet. It's something I'm determined to do before we move away.

Anyway, I took this picture in the house's garden, in the rear of the house. This was a dilapidated grape arbor that was heavily leaning and looked like it was about to fall over. I think the vines were what was holding it up. This is a view looking toward the back door of the house.
