SOUTH GARE FISHING

Yes, as I thought, off twitching this morning. Sabine's Gull at Heysham or Sharp-tailed Sandpiper at Greatham Creek, Teeside.

Well, I don't know where the Sandpiper had gone either, though there were plenty of reports for the Gull.

A following visit to Saltholme Pools was a pleasure and at least we got to see some Barnacle Geese, and an escapee thingy duck which was very pretty as well. I was ready for home.

Not so. No, onward, onward, to South Gare, though a pleasant blustery walk out along the pier, seeing Mackerel hauled out, banged on the head and bucketed for tea.

No matter, it was a good day. And although it was promised that tomorrow would be a day at home, it seems that we will be going west now for the Sabine's Gull. Wish me luck otherwise we are going to have a very sulky G the Twitcher.
