BARRAGE D'EMOSSON

Drove over the border to Switzerland and went in the funicular from Le Chatelard up to this enormous dam. The steepest part of the route up is 87% in the funicular. That was followed by a train journey round and through the mountain, and then a cable car to the top. It was an amazing journey, probably THE most amazing journey I have ever had.

This is a collage of the dam; the route up, need to look in large at that really; and Poppy's socks, which have now been up Mont Blanc twice, and to Switzerland this holiday. And they are so, so warm. Thank you Poppy!
