Why I love Twitter
The girls were with granny tonight, they were all really looking forward to it and as I'm blipping on Saturday I know they all had a ball. Mum was glad to get back to a bit of normality after her op.
I was on my own with no plans so spent the night chatting on Twitter while I played some tunes. I can't help but tweet about what songs I'm listening to...sure in the knowledge that most followers are thinking shut up you sad woman...but it makes me feel a bit less alone. And I don't mean that in a sad, sorrowful way...just a bit of chat and banter going on does go some way to filling a gaping hole when you are on your own.
That's why I love Twitter
So Idly chatting about playing Soft Cell - "Say Hello, Wave Goodbye" when Martin Rossiter, my favourite singer and former Gene frontman sends me a tweet with a link to Gene and Soft Cell duetting that song. Yeah - total synchronicity in kate's world.
That's why I love Twitter.
Jeanne is named after Gene - the songs and words mean that much to me.
'My eyes they cannot lie' is a Gene lyric
Cheers to my Twitter pals and Thank you Martin "I felt like a returning football manager with the cup"
