Polytunnel Update

It's been a long while since I last posted a Polytunnel Update, so Mrs P and I ended up spending most of today in the Garden and Polytunnel.

Raspberry canes have been pruned & tied up, Apples picked, winter crops sewn in the Polytunnel and a fair amount of weeding done. Also put some frames in place inside the tunnel for winter fleece as I suspect were going to need it soon...its getting really cold.

Theres still plenty growing in the tunnel, courgettes still producing, some tomatoes still to turn, chillies, borlotti beans almost ready, lots of spring onions left, not to mention the sprouts for Xmas. Trying my luck at growing some brocoli, carrots, lettuces, peas over winter. The book i got with the tunnel said these can grow over winter so lets see how it goes...

Was also time to put away the garden furniture to be on the safe side as apparently theres a storm on its way and strong winds are forecast. I'm going to work from home tomorrow just incase they shut the bridges again as happened the last time there was 70-80 mph winds.

Worked out planting plan for over winter and next year, and will firm that up and buy seeds and stuff shortly. Need to buy some garlic and get that in next month.

Have also decided I'm going to start another blip account from 1st January just for regular garden blips. Might not be daily, will be very boring to most people, but will let me see the changes over time.

Time to sit back and watch F1 on Sky+
