Scarface Revealed!

Got to take my dressings off today to reveal the surgeons handiwork. B assures me that this one on my forehead is a good job. I decided not to show the one on my cheek. The squeamish amongst you may not have appreciated it, as it's nowhere near as tidy!

The black eyes and bruising have calmed right down now although still visible. I'm hoping I don't scare the guys in my meeting tomorrow! It's a bit too important for them to be freaked out!

Just as I was starting to feel sorry for myself, I found myself watching tributes to the 9/11 victims and decided to get a grip! The scars that will now be a permanent feature on my face are nothing compared to the mental scars borne by families and friends of those who lost their lives on Sept 11, 2001.
