Pohara Beach, Golden Bay
We woke up to heavy rain again this morning, so no sunrise to be seen.
We decided that we would go back up to Puponga, and have a coffee while looking out over Farewell Spit, and then travel back down the coast line visiting as many side roads and beaches that we could. We had some fun, saw White Herons and Spoon Bills but decided that with 200 ml lens we could not get close enough to get any of the detail, so gave the birds away and just concentrated on the beaches.
This one of the horse and rider with dog was taken at Pohara Beach. There is a rain cloud in the distance, and this would be just about at Pakawau the place we are staying, so we kept ahead of the rain.
