There's a road for that thing

This is the moment I was confronted by half a dozen idiot cyclists as I walked home from the station after work.

All was calm and peaceful (well, as peaceful as it can be in a city centre) as I was checking my compact camera settings, when... all hell broke loose.

This photo just about shows the first cyclist swooping. He was followed by several others - all riding on a narrow pavement at top speed. Somehow they didn't actually make contact with me.

Bristol is a so-called cyclist city. Sometimes I wonder if I should campaign to make it a pedestrian city.
