Out the window

I set my challenge today to use the 50mm with f/1.8 and manually focus on something in the background so the foreground is out of focus. This is the street outside through an architectural glass window hanging in front of some glass doors in our dining room. Not so successful I'm afraid but I don't have anything more interesting. Think I'll have to do this nifty fifty thing longer than a week :-) Was going to try for a row this morning but it was too windy. Much cooler today. The day included an hour at the Apple store learning more about my Aperture program and a very nice dinner on an outside restaurant deck in the neighborhood with friends. (The photos of food didn't do it for me....)
