On Call

Had our lunch (in the car) by the river at Broughty Ferry - ended up being late meeting a friend for coffee because of all the excitement! Both the RNLI boats (this one and the inshore RIB) were scrambled, to rescue a small yachtthat seemed to have slipped its moorings and was very close to the raised walkway at the grassy beach. Was very wild, and they transferred one of the crew from the RIB to the yacht - was like being on a bucking bronco, I didn't envy his job! Eventually got a rope from this boat to the yacht and towed it to a proper mooring - all very exciting!

Managed another run this morning - 10k in just under an hour, including a few minutes stopped to talk to my old running coach. That included over 2.5 miles almost head on into very strong winds, and only a very short stretch with the wind at my back (lynnmac - didn't choose the right way!) Reasonably pleased with that - had enough energy to do the last half mile or so at a pretty good pace. Getting somewhere with this running lark!
