Common Darter
My little guide to damselflies and dragonflies describes this, slightly confusingly, as 'uncommon' - but saw lots of females today on our wee walk at Crombie. Very windy still, but also saw lots of beautifully green grasshoppers, a few butterflies (red admiral, peacock and tortoiseshell), a little grebe (not seen them there for a while) and lots of flocks of birds in the trees, particularly going for the birch seeds: siskins, coal tits and bullfinches the ones we got the best sight of.
