Ile Maurice - the beach

Hello from Mauritius.   On holiday here for a few weeks. 

Sorry for not much happening in this blip but that is deliberate to try to convey a sense of just how peaceful it is here.  Glorious sand, quiet beach, lovely sea and beautiful skies.  Its a superb place to relax and unwind.  Lazy walks and paddling at the edge of the sea along miles of white sandy beach and a day in the sun catching up on some rest after the long flight from London.  The long white line across the middle of the photograph is waves crashing onto the reef. It's quite dramatic. Will try to get a better shot with a telephoto lens.

A Mauritian buffet for dinner tonight with some very lively and colourful dancers who entertained us for hours afterwards.   Wish I could post more blips of today but will put some on Flickr or on my website when I get home (unless I decide to stay here that is!)
