Malachite

Another day of visiting relatives before getting the train back down to Edinburgh.

This is a lovely peice of Malachite that all my life has had a "not for sale" sticker on its bottom. A couple of years ago, my mum put a lovely crystal in a safe place for me. So safe that she subsequently completely forgot where it was. The crystal was replaced with a different one and eventually the safe hidding place was discovered. On browsing her stock contemplating what to exchange it for I found my hands wandering over this beautiful specimen. I carried it, I stroked it, I turned it over in my hands... there's a price ticket on it! That was it, my mind was made up, if any old customer was going to get the chance to have this beautiful item then I was putting a stop to it there and then. She's sold the pendant from around my neck before so I wasn't letting this get away. When it's not being photographed on the couch it now lives on my sideboard with my other treasures.
