Battered

I thought this butterfly looked as though it was a bit of a veteran, so I used the "retro" setting to try and give it an antique look.

Worth a try, I thought.

It put me in mind of this. I don't know why, really. Just because it looked a bit shabby, I suppose!


Today the house is getting even quieter. With Nick away in Oxford there are just the three of us at home. So much space left in the dishwasher, and the cinnamon and apple cake that Susie made is still around for us to share after tea tonight.
