Swan on the canal looking a lot happier in the sun than it would have yesterday or the day before. Can only imagine where the poor birds hide in such weather!

I feel like I'm taking part in some sort of mental challenge - only having hand luggage this weekend on the flight means a military style paring down of my cosmetics/toiletry bag - I'm generally someone who takes far too much as I'd rather be prepared with something 'just in case', so the restrictions on liquids is quite unnerving. Decanting bottles into smaller ones seems to be the answer - however I'm wondering if a well packed clear makeup bag will be sufficient to pass security - you can see everything (if you turn it over), it's just stuffed to the gunnels. (Who knew tetris gave you life skills?!)
