My Gimpy Wrist

OK, here's another pretty good use for the 50mm lens. The first ever xray of my gimpy wrist that has been trouble from the 80's. Probably stemming from the injury, breaking my wrist at age 18 falling off a horse, (I was counselor at a camp for inner city Chicago kids, showing them how to ride bareback!!) but more importantly probably breaking the ligament holding those bones together right. So now it's just plain arthritis in the joint that will flare up who knows why. (lots of use...) Took years to get to this point. We finally decided it did need some sort of diagnosis to make sure it wasn't something worse, so this hand doctor looked like he was about 20 years old to me. When he said, "If you were my mother, I'd advise.........." both H and I thought OH MY I could be his GRANDMOTHER! Anyway, not much to do, but maybe get a custom made brace. (There are radical surgery options that aren't going to happen) Think I'll just go for a row tomorrow!
