Attitude

Well, the whales heard that I blipped the pooches yesterday, so they had "pool-wide attitude" today! One whale at each end and both ignoring me and not about to pose for a photo. Sheeesssshhh! So I could hear the quiet whisper of the beautiful palm tree saying, "Look at me! Look at me!"

The whales were already a little more than put out that they were rudely woken Monday morning by the sound of a jack-hammer breaking cement on the edge of "their" pool. So it may take a while to calm the critter's on the water.

Other than whales with attitude, it's been a good day here. I was at the campus for about 5-hours working in the Writing Center and then in my office trying to work on my online course -- uploading more materials and tweaking the ones that had some spits and sputters. I love it when a student emails me to explain that something in the course is malfunctioning. I kind of think they love seeing that I've made a mistake. So I'm having fun shattering their image of "perfect instructors." I haven't known one yet!

We can see autumn cresting the horizon way out there -- almost need binoculars. The breeze has a little fall tease in it. I love summer, but when it raised its ugly temperature to torturous the past few weeks, I was ready to break off the love affair! So autumn we've put out the "Welcome Mat" for you.

Good night from Southern California.
