Kates Hill monument, Dudley

Noticed a few monuments while walking through the Kates Hill estate in Dudley, and thought they would make an interesting blip. I have no clue what it is, and why it is there. This monument is one of four, and in my opinion the most interesting, in the park type of area on the edge of the estate.

Was out extra early and had chance to try and capture the sun rise, however my results were really poor. Something I will master one day hopefully.

Plan B was this image and I was very pleased with it, you could say a great way to start the morning.
