Friends 4ever?

Snapped this from our kitchen window when our son U was playing at the yard with almost same age Miss E living at the neighborhood. They have been good friends for years already and this view reminded me of my own childhood.

One of my best friends was a girl nextdoor and we spent awfully lots of time together just like these two. Unfortunately she moved away to some other town when we were teenagers and after some time we just didn't keep in touch anymore. I guess nowadays with Facebook and everything els things might be different.

Perhaps the title says it all but in the real world.. ?
