Lazy summer afternoon

As the days of spring term come to a close we all find time to slow down a little and savor this place and savor time with each other.

This evening Scott and Matt invited me to their ethnobotany class's wild foraged feast! There was wild rice, wild stuffed grape leaves from Grapevine Point, a delicious stew of foraged tubers, vegetables from the garden and wild mushrooms, a nettle paneer with homemade cheese, big garden salad, and of course fresh Great Lakes whitefish and pan fish caught right from Douglas Lake.

My favorite though...the wild blueberry and wintergreen berry pie! Life is good up here :)
