The Pagodas

We climbed the tower of Orford Castle (a fab castle to visit, the bailey is gone now but the keep is in good condition. It was built for Henry 2nd.
(That'll be ooo - a long time ago then).

Although the outlook was grey you could clearly see across the river Ore to the pagodas; unique Cold War AWRE structures. Very secret at the time.

Later (as it was an anniversary of sorts for us) we had a meal at the Crown and Castle in Orford, the hotel run by Ruth Watson, of 'Hotel Inspector' fame, on t'telly. And an excellent meal it was too.
(We didn't see her.)
